The famous Dolomite peaks of the Rosengarten and the Latemar, romantic forests and attractive villages: The holiday paradise of the Eggental (Val d’Ega) includes all this and much more.

In summer here, holidaymakers can look forward to a hiking and climbing area with golf courses on Karerpass and in Petersberg in the municipality of Deutschnofen  (Nova Levante). Lake Carezza, in whose blue-green water the Latemar peaks are reflected, is also astonishingly beautiful. On the southern slopes of the Latemar, you’ll find the hiking and skiing resort of Obereggen and the Regglberg with the municipality of Deutschnofen. The extended network of hiking trails is also ideal for mountain biking, and for cross-country skiing in winter.

On Karerpass, in the municipality of Welschnofen, between King Laurin’s Rosengarten and the Latemar dolls, the ski resort Carezza Ski has made a name for itself.

The municipality of Karneid (Cornedo) extends right down into the Eisacktal (Valle d’Isarco), with Karneid Castle, whose area spreads high up into the mountain villages of Steinegg (Collepietra) and Gummer (S. Valentino in Campo). Gummer offers two very special highlights with its observatory  and planetarium.
