The Eggental mountain bike region
A whole world for mountain bikers
and other cyclists!
The magnificent Dolomite summits of the Latemar and the Rosengarten and their surroundings are a dreamlike backdrop for mountain bikers and cycling enthusiasts. Forest trails, natural routes across mountain pastures and demanding trails right at the feet of the precipitous Dolomite faces are popular with beginners, families who enjoy leisurely cycling and freeriders with a longing for adrenaline.
The Eggental (Val d’Ega) infrastructure for bikes is outstanding, with its shuttles, bike taxis and cable car and lift transport. The Welschnofen cable car (approx. 2 km and only 100 metres of altitude from the Löwen) takes you and your bike directly to the Frommer Alm (1,700 metres above sea level), at the foot of the Rosengarten, from where you can set off on leisurely mountain bike tours.
Discover the most attractive tours with local, approved guides who know the area.
Gasthof Löwen also has a few insider tips for its guests: Starting right from the hotel, several short bike tours lead to untouched, tranquil spots in the surrounding area. Or you can begin a day tour on your road bike over one of the many stunning Dolomite passes ... after all, it’s well known that Welschnofen (Nova Levante) and the Eggental lie at the gateway to the world-famous Dolomites!
We’ll be happy to provide you with a lockable area for your mountain bike or road bike, as well as tools and washing facilities!
